The girls have quite literally gone to town on producing their next video for their new song, 'Take me away'. Recorded at the
Cafe de Paris in Central London, the video sees the girls transported back to the 1940s, complete with dresses and hairstyles to match. The same venue used by Girls Aloud for one of their videos, the Cafe de Paris provided the ideal backdrop for 'Take me away', which sees the girls saying a fond farewell to their sweethearts before they depart for war.
The video is co-directed by Linzy Attenborough, who is also currently directing a new film 'Cruentus: blood lust' starring screen legend Ingrid Pitt, Judd Charlton, Ed Speleers (Eragon, Echo Beach) and Lucy Brooks, which is due for release later this year.
Eagle-eyed viewers may spot a famous face in the 'Take me away' video. One of the young men due to depart for war is
Leon Lopez, better known as Jerome Johnson in Channel 4's 'Brookside'. Leon plays Susan's love interest in the video - you can see from the videoshoot featured in our latest pictures section (see right).
"We had a brilliant time making the video," says Susan.
"The venue was great and it was really fun to get dressed up and pretend to go back in the past."
The girls would like to say a big thank you to the Maxwells Group for loaning the venue for the shoot, plus everyone involved in helping to make the video.
The new video will be posted on this site shortly.
